Everything a board needs, solved inside it

NoteBugs was built to live on a single machine or an intranet. It brings in-house the capabilities that usually depend on an outside service.

  • Board, list and calendar

    Three views of the same set of cards: drag them on the board, edit several at once in the list and follow every deadline on the calendar.

  • The card comes first

    Writing something down does not require deciding where it lives. A project works as a filter label, and deleting one preserves every card.

  • Markdown and pasted screenshots

    Ctrl+V places the evidence straight into the card and into the comment. It also takes PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ZIP, CSV and more.

  • Epics, links and deadlines

    Group cards into epics, connect them through seven kinds of link and set deadlines that preserve the time zone they were declared in.

  • Automatic history

    Every card records where it has been: column, project, epic, deadline. The tracking happens on its own, with no manual note taking.

  • Accounts, roles and workspaces

    Two axes of permission, the installation's and the workspace's, with the stricter of the two prevailing.

  • Backup and restore

    Scheduled export to disk or to an S3-like bucket, with inspection of the archive and selective restore of its contents.

  • API with Bearer token

    A personal token turns the board into automation: open a card at the end of the pipeline, comment from CI or query it from outside.

Follow the development

Every card carries its branch and a unique sequential number, which lets you cite it in the commit, in the pull request and in the team's conversation.

Report and validate fixes

Paste the screenshot, describe it in Markdown and send the card to the validation column. Comments take images too, which keeps the evidence next to the case.

Document what was decided

Markdown descriptions with checklists, tables and code, attachments of any kind, and a history showing when each thing changed.

Keep the data in-house

One docker compose up and the board is running on your machine or on your intranet, over your own PostgreSQL. The cards stay inside your network.

Privacy

Your data stays where you put it

Being self-hosted means the contents of your board remain under your control. They are not used to train models, and the tool shows no advertising and does not track the people who use it.

  • Your content stays in your database

    Cards, comments, attachments and history live in your PostgreSQL. That content is not collected, exported or used to train models, ours or anyone else's.

  • No advertising

    The tool does not sell advertising space. The SUPPORT plan is what sustains the project, which is why the board stays free of ads.

  • No tracking

    We use no pixel, no third-party cookie and no behavioral telemetry, neither in the tool nor on this site.
